Reference Style

Vancouver Style – Horn African Journal of Health Sciences (HAJHS)

HAJHS adheres to the Vancouver reference style. All citations within the manuscript text must be indicated by citation numbers placed in brackets. References are compiled in a numbered list at the end of the manuscript, sequenced in order of appearance.

Key Rules:

  • List the first six authors by name; for more than six, list first six followed by "et al."
  • Use reference management software for accuracy
  • Do not cite unpublished work or "data not shown"
  • Preprints from public servers may be cited
