Peer review is the independent assessment of submitted manuscripts by field experts, conducted prior to publication. It ensures the validity, rigor, and clarity of research. HAJHS employs a transparent peer review system: reviewer reports (from reviewers who remain anonymous) are published alongside accepted articles.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:
Soundness of methodology and whether conclusions are supported by the data
Novelty of the work and its distinction from previously published articles
Overall coherence and readability of the manuscript
Reviewers and editors are required to disclose any competing interests. If a competing interest exists, the reviewer or editor may be excluded from the peer review process for that submission.
All manuscripts under review are strictly confidential. Reviewers must not share or discuss the contents of any manuscript assigned to them. This is especially critical in the context of Matters Arising submissions.
The Journal of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences (JAVS) publishes original research articles, review papers, short communications, and case studies in Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Soil Science, Fisheries, Food Science, Crop Production, Agricultural Economics, and Natural Resource Management.
All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a double-blind peer review conducted by at least two independent experts. Manuscripts are evaluated based on originality, scientific quality, methodology, and relevance to the journal scope. Authors may be requested to revise manuscripts before final editorial decision.
Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts through the online submission system. All submissions are subject to peer review and editorial assessment.
