Horn Africa Journal of Health Sciences (HAJHS) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal published by Samara University, dedicated to advancing evidence across all domains of health. The journal covers a broad scope that includes infectious and non-infectious disease, maternal and child health, and environmental health, with a special emphasis on the determinants of health and their impact on policies and interventions in the healthcare delivery system.

HAJHS is a fully open-access journal. All published articles are freely available to the global public with no subscription fees or registration requirements. Open access articles are published under the Creative Commons CC-BY license, which allows free sharing for non-commercial purposes with proper attribution, while authors retain full copyright of their work.
HAJHS charges no article processing charges (APCs) and no submission fees. Publishing in HAJHS is completely free for all authors. This commitment ensures that financial constraints never impede the publication of high-quality research.
HAJHS employs a transparent peer review system. Manuscripts are independently evaluated by expert reviewers who remain anonymous; however, their reports are published alongside accepted articles. Editorial decisions are made by the academic editor using reviewer reports, with editorial board consultation when needed.
HAJHS aligns its editorial and reporting standards with the leading journals in health sciences, including the BMC journal series, PLOS journals, Frontiers, and the Lancet journal series. Authors are required to follow relevant reporting guidelines such as CONSORT, PRISMA, SPIRIT, and others depending on study design.
The Journal of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences (JAVS) publishes original research articles, review papers, short communications, and case studies in Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Soil Science, Fisheries, Food Science, Crop Production, Agricultural Economics, and Natural Resource Management.
All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a double-blind peer review conducted by at least two independent experts. Manuscripts are evaluated based on originality, scientific quality, methodology, and relevance to the journal scope. Authors may be requested to revise manuscripts before final editorial decision.
